Some people believe that the difference between the lowest-paid jobs and the highest-paid jobs should be reduced.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In general, people think the salary gap between the lowest-paid occupation and the highest-paid occupation should be less. I do not agree with this notion. In my opinion, people are interested in their jobs primarily because they see money as a reward for their hard work. 

Employees in profitable jobs should continue to receive high pay because they play a crucial role in achieving a company's financial goals. These individuals are often recruited for their ability to think outside the box and make innovative and strategic decisions, which are vital for building a brand. They work hard and may even work around the clock to achieve their company's objectives. Financial gain is a strong motivator for such employees, as it provides them with luxurious possessions and comfort. Without lucrative opportunities to increase their income, their motivation to perform at their best would diminish over time, or they may choose to leave the company. This would negatively impact the company's growth, as they may not be able to recruit individuals ready to take on challenging positions. Therefore, unless a salary hike or incentives are involved, it is unlikely that people will seek out challenging professions.

In situations where there is no significant difference in pay between skilled and average workers, top-level employees may feel undervalued and hopeless about reaching their desired salaries. As a result, they may start considering moving abroad as a better option. Additionally, many talented individuals may lose motivation if they are unable to meet their basic needs or explore new opportunities. "Brain drain" is a major concern for developing countries, and to prevent it, it is crucial to offer high incentives to deserving candidates to retain professionals and support economic growth.

In conclusion, skilled workers may find work to be burdensome if their salaries are not significant. This can result in a decline in the performance of proficient workers. This situation could force highly qualified individuals to emigrate, causing the country's economy to suffer.
